"Having a new baby didn't allow
my wife and I to get out for Valentines, so I called Lisa.
She turned our home into a 4 star restaurant while we put
the little one down to sleep.
Next thing we knew, we were being served
the best Valentines meal we ever had without the stress of
going out or cleaning up. The food was unbelievable and I
looked like the most romantic guy in the world... which I
am. Thanks Lisa."

Lisa Waldschmidt has been a personal chef since 2004. Her passion
for cooking and her love of preparing luscious meals using the freshest
ingredients shows in her attention to every detail. She works carefully
with her clients to keep them happy and well fed, meeting their
needs and desires for wonderful meals cooked in their homes, whether
it’s their family favorites or their special requests.
Her various personal chef clients have included families of all
sizes, working couples too busy to cook, a couple in med school,
a pregnant mom on bed rest, and elderly seniors. Special-needs clients
have ranged from the Lactose Intolerant to working directly with
a nutritionist to create a specific specialized meal plan for a
client who was hypoglycemic and pre-diabetic.
Parties have ranged from a surprise engagement supper, to elegant
anniversary dinners, to dinner parties for 4 to 18. She has served
down-home chili and cornbread for 50 on the river and prepared made-to-order
omelets for an office of 30. Everything from helping clients bring
their own party ideas to life, to suggesting menus themes and tablescapes,to
preparing everything ahead and leaving it for the them to simply
heat up themselves, to doing the entire party from start to finish
making sure it all works perfectly – down to washing the last
crystal wine glass and giving the countertop a final wipe.
Before becoming a personal chef, Lisa worked in business communications.
Over the years she took as many cooking courses as she could in
her spare time, and expanding her already generous library of cookbooks.
. She entertained as often as she could convince the family to clean
house. Rarely did the same meal appear twice and she broke all the
rules by cooking and serving meals to guests she had never tried
before. No one seemed to complain, and soon dinner invitations were
received with anticipation, pleasure and a little drooling. Food
and cooking developed into a passion that soon had to be met full
time, no longer as a hobby. She quit her life in the 9-5 world and
became a personal chef.
Lisa is a member of the American Personal Chef Association and
is ServSafe certified for your family’s protection. She recently
moved to sunny San Rafael from the Midwest with her 2 lovely daughters
and a wonderful husband who thankfully stays out of her way in the
kitchen – but loves to eat AND do the dishes!
