Sprouts, Bacon and Apples
Perfect side dish for Thanksgiving!
4 cups brussels
sprouts, peeled and halved if large
1/2 cup water
3 strips bacon
2 Granny Smith apples or others of your liking
In a covered microwave-safe container, place brussels sprouts with
the water.
Microwave on high power for 6-8 minutes or until tender when pierced
with a knife.
Peel apples
and cut into large chunks. Saute bacon until almost crispy. Add
brussels sprouts and apples to bacon and stir over medium heat until
Brussels sprouts strt to brown and apples become tender.
Be careful
- this may convert your non-brussels sprouts eating family members!.
