Microwave Applesauce
Great for a Sunday night dinner.

6 apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Sugar

In a sealable microwave-safe container, combine the apples with all other ingredients.
Close the lid, leaving one corner of it open to allow steam to escape. Microwave on high power for 10 minutes.

Using a spoon or potato masher or hand blender, blend to desired consistency. I like it a little chunky. Add a couple tablespoons of sugar, stir and continue adding until you like the taste. Serve hot immediately or chill for later use.

If you like pink applesauce, add some Redhot candies. If you like it smoother, add more water, heat another minute and continue. If you have it on hand, use apple cider in place of water.
